20 October 2022: Tomography 5.12

What’s new:

Tomo 5.12 is focused on more accurate targeting and acquisition. It introduces the following major new features:

  • Calibrate stage and beam image shifts for more accurate targeting of identifiable features. Beta release.
  • Select groups size (2, 3, or 4) of dose symmetric tilt scheme for faster acquisition.
  • Define lamella orientation to improve tracking of features off the tilt axis.

23 August 2022: Tomography 5.11

What’s new:

Tomo 5.11 enhances setting up batch positions and brings automatic reconstruction using Tomo Live:

  • Automate acquisition of Search Maps, so you can acquire multiple maps unattended.
  • Reconstruct tilt series to tomograms using Tomo Live, for easier review and quality control. See also thermofisher.com/tomography5.
  • [Beta] Set-up multiple exposure areas now allows you to define positions off the tilt axis, for faster acquisition and greater control.

23 August 2022: Tomography 5.10

What’s new:

Tomo 5.10 enhances setting up batch positions:

  • Define positions on the Search Maps for faster set-up times.
  • Edit previously defined batch positions.
  • [Beta] Set-up multiple exposure areas on-axis per tilt series for faster acquisition times.

11 February 2022: Tomography 5.9

What’s new:

Tomo 5.9 now supports STEM and EDS acquisition

  • Sample navigation, batch mode and dose symmetric tilt scheme are now available in STEM mode.
  • Set-up of EDS acquisition (using Velox) has been improved.
  • Search Maps can be acquired faster when using image/beam shift (beta).

8 November 2021: Tomography 5.8

What’s new:

Tomo 5.8 allows you to acquire medium magnification maps to improve navigating on your sample, and extend all sample navigation functionality to single tilt series as well:

  • Search Maps allow you to acquire medium magnification maps for more accurate positioning.
  • Sample Navigation is now also available for single tilt series, not just in Batch mode.
  • Holder Calibrations and Predictions are extended to support the Dose Symmetric tilt scheme as well as different holder types.

13 September 2021: Tomography 5.7.1

What’s new:

Tomo 5.7 brings back the movie player to view the acquired tilt series, as well as various improvements that aid navigation and help setting up multiple positions for acquisition:

  • Win 7 compatibility resolved
  • Movie Player allows you to easily review and export your acquired data
  • Annotations are improved considerably for Atlas, Overview and Search images
  • Holder calibrations results can now be opened and viewed within Tomo

29 April 2021: Tomography 5.6

What’s new:

Tomo 5.6 brings a lot of improvements that aid navigation and help setting up multiple positions for acquisition:

  • Improved annotations in Overview image show details of all positions, including the focus and tracking areas.
  • Multiple Overview images can be saved to easily navigate across different grid squares.
  • Ability to acquire a Single Atlas on autoloader systems even when the autoloader status is not initialized (e.g. no cassette docked)
  • Metadata are saved in MDOC format.

10 February 2021: Tomography 5.5

What’s new:

  • Added Overview images to improve setting up Batch Positions
  • Added 90-days trial license for first time users

3 August 2020: Tomography 5.3

What’s new:

  • Improved ease-of-use of adding Batch Positions.
    • Option to tilt the stage from within Tomography application
    • Manually determine the order of execution to give priority to the most interesting positions.
  • Support for systems with CFEG.
  • Support for the Electron Event Registration (EER) mode with the Falcon 4 camera.

17 April 2020: Tomography 5.2

What’s new:

  • Tomography 5.2 now includes all the necessary TEM functionality in the improved 5.x platform. This also includes new features such as “Dose symmetric” tilt scheme.
  • The Atlas screening task for systems with AutoLoader is now available in Tomography application as well.
  • Automatic periodic acquisition of dark reference images for Gatan K3 camera (requires server version 7.4 or later)
