Version 1.8 released

We are excited to announce the release of AutoScript for TEM version 1.8. This quarterly update brings a range of small improvements, features, and bug fixes to enhance your TEM experience.

Key New Features in Version 1.8:

  1. OptiStem+: Users can now execute the OptiStem+ (A2B2) autocorrection procedure via scripting, providing greater flexibility and efficiency in optimizing STEM imaging.
  2. Package Manager – Update Environments: Users can upgrade AutoScript packages in manually created environments, allowing for seamless updates and improved customization.
  3. Advanced (Improved) STEM Acquisition: STEM acquisition now offers new advanced parameters. Users have the ability to turn off the auto-blanker and choose specific acquisition regions, resulting in accelerated acquisition speeds.

Improvements:

  1. Package Manager – License Configuration: Users can configure which licenses are available in the Package Manager. Additionally, non-free packages can now be installed, providing expanded options for customization.

We encourage all AutoScript users to download and upgrade to version 1.8 to take advantage of these exciting new features, improvements, and bug fixes. To obtain the latest version, please contact our support team for installer/assistance.

AutoScript for Transmission Electron Microscopes:

The cutting-edge software that empowers TEM users to create automated data analysis, customizable workflows, and enhanced by seamless integration with your microscope, enabling you to achieve faster, more accurate results.

  • Scripting environment combining Python API with the Python editor. Python 3.8.
  • Optional Offline mode provides simulation of microscope behavior. Scripts can be tested offline on user PC before going to microscope.  If you are interested, please check with your account managers for the quote.

    • STEM Detectors (insert, retract, gain, offset, individual segments)
    • Optics (mode, beam shift, tilt, magnification, rotation, …)
    • Monochromator (deflectors, focus)
    • Stage (movement, position read-out) including piezo stage

  • Thermo Scientific Spectra or Talos system with Windows 10 operating system
  • Themis/Spectra/Krios SW: 3.13-3.18.x/ Talos SW: 2.13-2.18.x.
